Every Nevada High School Football Helmet Is Now Displayed Inside Allegiant Stadium

From Douglas to Elko to Virginia City to Reno to Fallon and beyond, every high school football team in Nevada now has its helmet displayed inside the home of the state’s only NFL team.

The Las Vegas Raiders unveiled a display of 96 Silver State-shaped helmets on Tuesday afternoon. All 96 NIAA high school football teams are represented.

“Las Vegas Raiders and Intermountain Healthcare salute Nevada high schools with a new permanent facility at Allegiant Stadium,” the team said in a press release.

The Raiders said the exhibit is meant to “talk about common shared goals and aspirations to help build healthier communities and families. This includes working with youth camps, mental health awareness and the education and prevention of domestic violence at the youth level”.

The helmets are on display on the 100 level of the stadium near the Modelo Cantina Lounge on the east side of Allegiant Stadium, which opened last season after the Raiders moved from Oakland to Las Vegas, becoming the state’s first NFL team and the second major professional sports team. to call Nevada home, after the Vegas Golden Knights.

“I notice now that more and more kids are calling the Raiders their favorite team,” Liberty High coach Rich Muraco told our sister station in Las Vegas, KSNV. “By really getting into the community and at the youth sports level, at the high school level, it shows their commitment to the community which in turn will inspire the community to buy into them.”
