âFrom the peak of the pandemic until now, our brave firefighters have always been on the front lines, risking their lives to protect their communities,â said Senator Schumer. âThese courageous first responders deserve all the federal support they can get to help them do their jobs. I will always fight to bring in more federal resources to support our heroic firefighters, and I am proud to provide this funding so that the New York Fire Departments have the essential support they need to keep New Yorkers safe in emergency.
Also on the list, the village of Albion which received $ 37,190 and the town of Hornell which received $ 205,568.
